How often are sites crawled in the Global Index?

The Global Index is continuously crawling, adding new content every second from its tens of thousands of global sources.

While many sites are crawled near constantly — i.e., every few minutes — there is no specific determination for a particular site’s crawl frequency. Each site’s crawling interval is based on a number of factors, including the site’s global relevance, the frequency of publication (weekly or monthly publishers are crawled less frequently than daily outlets), and the sheer amount of content (larger sites are crawled more frequently than smaller sites).
